PROJECT SUMMARY |
The Action addresses the Core maritime Port of Piraeus, located on the Orient East-Med Core Network Corridor. It is part of the Global project which aims to transform the Port of Piraeus into a Green Cruise Hub. The Action aims to provide the final studies and engineering designs for the development of on-shore power supply (OPS) technology for four cruise vessels positions at the Themistoklis coast in the core maritime Port of Piraeus. |
PROJECT OBJECTIVES |
The Action includes the elaboration of the following main studies:
The completion of the Action will lead to the launch of the tender for the subsequent works after the Action’s end. |
PROTASIS SCOPE |
In the framework of the CIPORT project, PROTASIS S.A. performs the Front End Engineering (FEED) studies for the Shore Side Electricity (SSE) infrastructure for the port of Piraeus extending the currently planned SSE position at the passenger terminal, to the cruise terminal. Specifically, the FEED studies will include provision for the creation of four (4) SSE positions that will serve cruise ships and cover the main primary and secondary electrical equipment, the specification for the most suitable Cable Management System (CMS) arrangements, cost estimation for procurement and erection of the future SSE, and the technical design studies providing planning design, final specifications for equipment and infrastructure (in line with the international standards IEC 80005-1/2/3) and ensuring the port-to-vessel interconnection compatibility. |
